Marsden Parish Church Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society has been performing plays and musicals since 1926 when the society was first founded to raise funds to build the Parochial Hall.
In the years since the first production of The Mikado we have entertained audiences with shows as diverse as The Desert Song to The Full Monty and have a reputation for putting on excellent shows.
New members are always welcome, if you feel that you could help with our productions either on stage or back stage then please contact us using the contact tab on this site.
If any members, past or present have any pictures of productions that you’d like us to post on this website please let us know and we’ll do our best to get them up on the site.
And don’t forget you can follow us on Facebook.
A word from our chairman
In a time where many amateur societies seem to be struggling we are very fortunate to have a great base in the Parochial Hall and a wonderful team of performing and backstage people – who all put in a great deal of time and effort to ensure that we continue to provide top-quality entertainment for our audiences.
Instead of our usual musical this October we are putting on another of our fabulous variety shows – ‘Cabaret Showtime’. Those of you who have enjoyed our Summer Variety Shows in the past will have an idea of what to expect as we are pleased to welcome Vivienne Payne back as producer. Details of how and when to get tickets for this show will be appearing soon on this website, ticket numbers are limited though so make sure you get them booked early.
If you enjoy our shows and would like to get involved with the society then we are always keen to welcome new members! For further information just go to the ‘Contact Us’ page on this website and drop us an email, we look forward to hearing from you.
